CONFRENCE ROOM
The aesthetic sense of Maharaja Ganga Singh is quite evident in
the artistic decoration and architectural perfection of this room.
The beautiful hall was the smoking room of the Maharaja Ganga Singhji.The
green and gold theme wall painting with a carved and gilled wooden
ceiling was designed to provide ambience conducive to serious thinking.
The smoking room has been witnessed to many imp cabinet meetings
of the Bikaner state. Today the conference hall of the Laxmi Niwas
Palace. Equipped with all major facilities it provides the perfect
backdrop for an unforgettable conference. |

The walls of this room are replete with great trophies of the successful
hunts of the kings - a royal custom. The lower portions of the walls
are panelled with expensive teakwood and the semicircular arched
ceiling is opulent with beautiful carving making the room grand

The red sand stone of dulmera has been used extensively in this
hall with giant pillars supporting the huge roof bringing grace

wall at that time , even today looks so fresh and fine as if pasted

A Rajasthani folk theme party Maharaja welcome - ladies in Rajasthani
costumes perform the traditional garlanding, "aarti" and " tika"
ceremonies while they music shehnai welcomes you. After wards relax
in the chowk (courtyard) with a welcome drink. A puppet show enacts
the great valour and chivalry of Amar Singh Rathore, a local hero.
Musicians play the " Ravanhattha", a stringed folk instrument. Folk
dancers dressed in veiled dupatta and glittering satin dresses will
take you to the dance floor. Dhamal - Fireworks to end the show.
