LOCATION: The name Rus comes from the old name of the Kievan Rus - a country back in 11th century joining all Russian states. The panorama from the hotel windows shows a great view to the old city, one day the capital of the Kievan Rus. For more than 20 years visitors to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, have become honored guests of the Hotel Rus.

After Ukraine declared its independence in 1991, the Hotel Rus became temporal home for a number of foreign embassies: Republic of China, India, Switzerland, Norway, Finland, and Denmark. Many distinguished guests stayed in the Hotel Rus on the occasion of national and international events like conferences, conventions, round-table discussions, sport and culture activities.

For twenty years of operation about 1.5 million guests have been accommodated in the Hotel Rus. The hotel came to be the second home for many of our guests. Rus can boast of such guests as US Defence Minister Cohen, famous singers Julio Iglesias, Patricia Kaas, a number of famous Russian movie stars like Yevstigneev, Tikhonov, Yankovskiy. The famous rock group "Scorpions" have also enjoyed their stay in the hotel Rus.

The hotel was hosting delegations of US congressmen, Madlene Albright, NATO representatives, and mayors of European cities. Hotel Rus is a member of the Kiev Chamber of Trade and Commerce, and the International Hotel and Restaurant Association (IH&RA). There are 384 comfortable rooms in the hotel, including suites, twin and single rooms. All of them have comfortable furniture, manufactured on special order. The total capacity of the hotel is 644 guests.

ACCOMMODATION: Hotel Rus has 384 rooms including: 17 Suites, 194 Singles, 173 Twins and Hotel Rus can host up to 644 guests. All the rooms comply with the national standard requirements of 3-star hotel. For better security some of the rooms have electronic locks. Majority of the hotel rooms are air-conditioned. Every room has a bathroom, color TV set broadcasting international channels, telephone, refrigerator, radio with alarm-clock. Suites consist of two rooms, an anteroom, and a bathroom. In suites furniture is made of natural wood, colour TV set with cabel television, broadcasting all Kyiv channels, phone with international access, air-conditioner, refrigerator, radio set, electronic alarm clock, a set of promotional materials. There is a large comfortable bed in a cosy bedroom. To the guests' convenience there is a hair-drier and cosmetic mirror in a bathroom. Breakfast (open buffet) is included to the room rate.

HOTEL FACILITIES & SERVICES: To create new opportunities the hotel offers conference facilities for small to big size meeting events. A conference hall of 400 sq.m with seating capacity of up to 300 persons is fully air-conditioned. Accommodation in recently refurbished single and twin rooms and suites as well as extensive banquet facilities ensure a successful run of an event at minimum time spent for its arrangement. Our Conference Managers can organize renting of any other necessary equipment, like multimedia projectors, simultaneous translation equipment etc Hotel Rus is one of a few hotels in Kiev that have extensive restaurant facilities offering anything from small personal parties to receptions and ceremonies for 500 guests, as well as wedding parties and national holidays celebrations. The interior design of VENETIAN hall with an onyx fireplace is a surprising mix of Italian motifs and modern style influenced by paintings of XIX century.
