LOCATION:
Located
on the prestigious South Mall, the Imperial Hotel has been serving Cork
city since 1813 when the Cork Committee of Merchants commissioned Thomas
Deane to design and build The Commercial Rooms. The building was extended
in the 1840's and became an hotel in 1845.
Since then the hotel has played host to a number of renowned figures
including Fr Mathew the temperance priest, writers such as Sir Walter
