It
sounds almost exotic. An "Alpine-style" country- house hotel
in the middle of Berlin, Germany's bustling capital. Tastefully arranged
furniture, pictures and floral decorations lend a Southern flair to the
sedate district of Mariendorf. The name "Alpinia" brings back
to memory a long-standing family tradition: The "Bayrische Wirtshaus
Alpinia", was located at the same spot for over 80 years.
In July 1993, this made way for a newly-built hotel. High-quality terracotta,
whitewashed pinewood and patinated ironwork give this building its special
character, contrasting beautifully with the antique wooden furniture and
country-house ambience. 58 lovely, individually decorated rooms await
the guest. Our exclusively appointed conference room provides a sophisticated
setting for management seminars and conferences.
We

your everyday modern needs. The individually furnished and decorated storeys

ACCOMMODATION: Country-house
accommodation on four floors - separate smoker and non-smoker areas
- light, harmoniously blended colours create an individual atmosphere.
The rooms offer unpretentious elegance, while providing all modern
facilities for your comfort and security. All rooms are ensuite
with shower or bath and WC, a large mirror and hairdryer. 220V power
outlet. All rooms provide top-quality sleeping comfort, reading
lamps, a sitting area, cable TV, radio, mini-bar, writing desk,
EURO-ISDN telephone & facsilime facilities, a room safe and
light-tight blinds.
These executive rooms are reserved exclusively for non-smokers and
are available with twin beds or a king-size double bed (width 180
cm) These rooms are more spacious than our standard rooms. Special
features are the romantic slanting ceilings, cosy sitting areas,
large bathrooms - also suitable for wheelchair users - and business
facilities.
On
this floor you will also find a FAMILY SUITE with connecting door;
and our cosy ONE-ROOM SUITE. Upon request this can be converted
into a HONEYMOON SUITE and is the perfect place for bride and groom
to spend their wedding night after a perfect celebration just a
couple of floors below. |

Our
range of services meets practically every need from A to Z - including
postal services, laundry service, tickets for public transport,
florist, travel arrangements, theatre and concert tickets, courier

wake-up calls, shoe-cleaning facilities, luggage trolleys, luggage
deposit, mobile coat racks, TV magazines, orthopedic cushions, cots,
kiddies' toilet seat, toiletries,
odds and ends for emergencies.......and so on. 13
parking spaces are available for our guests at a small charge
in our underground garage. Reservation is recommended. Relax
in our sauna or solarium. Take a jog in the neighbouing Britz Gardens.
Lounge around on one of our sunny patios and enjoy the landscaped
Alpinia gardens, or hire a bicycle.

and fitting tables well-shaded by conservatory porch non-smoker

A good breakfast is the best way to start a successful day or a
harmonious weekend. Non-residents are also welcome to our breakfast
buffet. On some weekends we serve brunch, offering seasonal specialities
