A whole
range of activities awaits guests at Boracay. Water sports like
scuba diving, windsurfing, island hopping boat tours and snorkeling
may be arranged. Landlubbers can explore the local market or go
on an inland tour. Golf may be available by special arrangement.
Boracay Island is located at the northwestern tip of Panay Island
in Western Visayas. It is part of the town of Malay in Aklan Province,
Republic of the Philippines. Two airports serve the Manila-Boracay
route. One is the Kalibo airport, where tourists travel overland
for 1 1/2 - 2 hours to Caticlan Jetty Port by airconditioned bus/shuttle
available right at the airport. The other is the Caticlan airport
which serves small passenger planes and is about 10 minutes away
by car or tricycle to the jetty port - the jump off point where
boats bound for the island await every visitor. |
