LOCATION: Mt Popa is a forest clad landmark rising 5000 ft above sea level and is a place of special importance to the country's history and culture. The natural springs, flowers and wooded hillsides greatly contrast to the arid lands surrounding it and the climate totally different to that of nearby Bagan.

Perched mid way to the summit of this legendary mountain overlooking the "Popa Taungkalat" at 2500 ft. The foot of monastery can be reached by foot through the wooded paths in 15 minutes. The volcanic peak can be reached with a one-day hike through the forests. Nat shrines and rich eco-systems surround the resort. The resort is 40 minutes drive from Bagan Nyaung U Airport, and 45 from Bagan itself.

ACCOMMODATION: Rooms are spacious and fully equipped with modern facilities. Constructed from timber amongst the forest leaves, many have fantastic views of the surrounding area from their private balconies. They offer satellite TV, private shower, in-room safe and tea/coffee facilities.
