LOCATION
:
Facing the Atlantic Ocean, Riad Salam Hotel Casablanca is 3 kilometres
from the bustling city centre. Located on the Corniche, the hotel is
at a 5-minute drive from Tour Hassan II. The hotel lies 30 kilometres
from the airport. There are 202 spacious and well-furnished rooms available,
all air-conditioned and equipped with latest amenities.
Riad Salam offers a choice of restaurants that serves Moroccan, Spanish,
Italian as well as international cuisine. Options for leisure activities
include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, fitness centre, tennis
court and a golf course. The hotel also provides conference and banquet
facilities to its business travellers.
| ACCOMMODATION :
The
reception area looks fab, mosaics and water features and pristine
looking staff. But the rooms have cracks in the ceilings, paint
drips on the tiles in the bath room, and towels that have seen better
days. And of course the mini bar is empty. We had a television,
but no chance of lazing on the bed, watching it. You'll have to
get up to change channels as they do not have enough remote controls
for all the rooms! I must add that everything is very, very clean!

RESTAURANT :
The restaurant does local food, but you can eat the same dishes
for three times less in town. If you stay here in winter be prepared
for the cold. There is a small electric heater in every room, but
the air gets so dry, you'll have to sleep with the windows open.
The corridors, breakfast room, bar and restaurant are absolutely
freezing. Breakfast at this hotel is delicious.
There's a very big choice, catering to all tastes. There's a lady
frying eggs any which way you want, and loads of sweet dishes. Breakfast
is not included in the bill though, but this seems ro be common
in Morroco. The rooms on the ground floor all have a terrace overlooking
the pool and garden, and there's a large terrace overlooking the
ocean. |
